What is telehealth therapy?
Telehealth therapy offers a convenient and effective way to provide support to individuals form the comfort of their own space. Through video sessions, I am able to connect with clients across Alabama, offering a safe and confidential environment to explore their feelings and challenges. By utilizing telehealth technology, individuals can access therapy without the need to travel, saving time and reducing barriers to seeking help. I am dedicated to creating a warm and empathetic therapeutic relationship virtually, guiding clients on a journey towards healing and growth.

Meet the Therapist
Janene Yost, LPC NCC
Janene Yost is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama and a National Certified Counselor that has been working within the social service industry for over 15 years, with over 7 years dedicated to mental health therapy. Janene graduated with a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and Undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She has worked alongside a wide age range of clients that are coping with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and overall life transitions. She works collaboratively with her clients to build a partnership within the therapy environment to address individual concerns with emphasis on each clients’ strengths and how these strengths can help each person reach their goals. Janene uses Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused approaches for therapy to assist her clients in reaching their ultimate goals of mental wellness. Janene provides affirming therapy to those in the LGBTQIA2S+, Autistic, ADHD, and disabled communities.
In her spare time, Janene enjoys being with her family, crocheting, reading, and playing with her dogs and cat.
Insurance and Fees
Clients are responsible for checking their insurance copay prior to each counseling session. Knowing your copay amount and any related deductible information is essential to ensure a smooth payment process and avoid any unexpected financial obligations. Take a proactive approach by contacting your insurance provider or reviewing your insurance plan documents to understand your financial responsibilities before each session. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Individual Session: $100
Income-based sliding scale fees are offered on an as-needed basis. The starting fee for the sliding scale per session is $50. Please contact us to talk about whether you may qualify.
Payment is due at the time of service.
Appointments
We use Therapy Appointments for our online medical records and as a way to connect for telehealth appointments.
Setting up an appointment:
Step 1: Call or use the contact form to connect with Janene about scheduling an appointment. Basic contact information will be obtained at this time to begin the portal set-up process.
Step 2: You will receive an email for a portal invitation from Therapy Appointments. Please click on the link in this email to set up a username/password. This link will expire after 48 hours. If the link expires, please contact Janene and another link will be sent to you immediately.
Step 3: Log in to your Therapy Appointments portal at least 48 hours prior to the appointment to complete the documentation to begin the therapy process. You will be prompted to provide a picture of your driver’s license and insurance card (if needed) at this time.
You will receive a reminder via text and email 1-2 days prior to your appointment. If you need to cancel/reschedule, please call or email to let us know at least 24 hours prior to the appointment, so that a cancel/no show fee is not issued.
Day of your appointment:
The morning of your appointment you will receive a text and email with a link for your appointment. If this is your first session with Janene, please click on the link 5-10 minutes prior to the appointment time to set up your camera/microphone through Therapy Appointments.
